You can use the /usr/OV/security/cmds/snmpget_unsecure for Scripts.

RE: nvsecd out of memory....anyone else having this problem?

James,

I'm just wondering how it would affect me as I'm about to install
Nways....It's not a major problem, as I usually spot it quickly, restart
it,
and re-log on..The biggest annoyance is that I use the snmpget command in
/usr/OV/bin in some of my scripts. It requires a NV client to
be authorized in order to execute that command....

Cheers

Could be IY00835 -- 4K memory leak with each authorization -- which
will
be
available in the next round of maintenance.
If you are desperate for an efix now, I'd call Support.

    Hey all..

I am running NetView 5.1.1, on AIX 4.3.2...I have 512M of memory.. I
am
periodically (about every 3-5 days) getting the problem where the
Netview
security daemon is stopping. When I do an ovstatus, it says that
nvsecd :
out of
memory. I am wondering if anyone else has seen a similar problem, and
if
so what
was done to correct it? Or is there a log of some sort that I could
check
to see
    why this is happening?

    Thanks

    Matt
