I have not made any configuration changes since installing the 5.1.1 patch
last week, but, prior to that, these could be done in smit (and I expect
that 5.1.1 did not change that).

that means you DON'T HAVE to do it through desktop?  I thought all
configuration/customization to NetView has to be done through desktop now.
