This is from my Students Training Guide:

Memory -- Minimum of 128MB
 Assumptions:
   5000-object IP network
    - Add 1MB for Every additional 200 nodes
    - Add 1MB for Every additional read-write map
   One local operator
    - Add 40MB for each additional operator (GUI)

If this applies to the real world i don't know =)

I'm surprising and wondering at this point.
Is 512MB RAM not enough to manage 26000 objects?

Our NetView system (43P-240) has only 640MB RAM and have to manage
over 30000 objects in the near future (in now, less than 8000 objects
managed).

I counld not find the way how to estimate RAM size for NetView/AIX.

What happened when you were noticed the memory is low?
Too much paging and too much CPU busy?
43P-240 with 640MB RAM is not good enough to manage over 30000 objects?

I want to know many actual results about NetView resource sizing.
Any advice appreciate.
Regards.
