No.  NetView clients have to be on the same or very similar operating
systems because they are simply an offload of the major parts of the
X-windows GUI from one box to another.  The only mixed environment that is
supported in 5.1 and 5.1.1 is Aix and Solaris.   Digital and NT don't
play here because they are too different under the covers.   For them the
client must be the same OS and the server.

I thought the information on mixing clients was in the Release Notes.

You can, of course, use the web client on NT (using IE or Netscape for that
box) to access any NetView.

Hello All.

I am running AIX 4.2.1 with Netview 5.1.

Can I make an NT box a Managed Node and then install the Netview 5.1 Client
on it ? Does it work with an AIX based Netview Server?

Any info appreciated.
