There was a bug in the migration script when the trap had Nodes specified
to give a Node list. That has been fixed in 5.1.1. Can you not just
manually fix the current trap defs and be done with it for now? I would
have thought it would be an easy change to make. But perhaps I don't
understand.

Subject: Trapd.conf problem

Hi

I recently upgraded CiscoWorks 3.0.3 to CiscoWorks 4.0. I have NetView
5.1 on AIX 4.2. Today I installed CWSI. During both changes (
installations), the trapd.conf file got changed due to Cisco traps added
or changed.

Question is the traps (copy of Cisco link down / link up and TME/NetView
6000 node / down) for Specfic nodes referring to files were no longer
referring to files but had the name of the nodes (devices) from the
files defined within the trapd.conf. In other words now when you added
a new node the file, it would no longer be valid as trapd.conf no longer
refers to file name.

Any Ideas !!!!

PS last time I had similar problem, the culprit was an invalid hostname
in the referred file.
