First, I have read many notes from Jim Shanks on the subscriber list and
saved most.  Thanks for the expertise.
  Second, it is sad that somehow Mr. Shanks gets any blame for
"misconstrued" comments he has made.
  Third, I sincerely hope Mr. Shanks does not get discouraged and lose
enthusiasm for responding to questions from the list.
