IX84875 is currently being worked on to address the problem of multiple
"manages" increasing the map managed count greater than the number of maps
exisitng, and of unmanage not dealing with it.

If you select an object in a map that is already managed, and re-manage
the object, the OVW Maps Managed field will increase by one for that
object and the objects under it.  If you then unmanage it, it becomes
unmanaged in the current map, but the managed count is now wrong. I
believe it to be a defect as well.  It should check the current map
status and only increment/decrement the managed count if there is a
change in managed state in the current map (IMHO).  The ovmapcount -a
can be run without bringing down the map.
