This is not a trivial exercise.

To match an existing symbol that is already in NetView format to an OID,
you add entries to the /usr/OV/conf/C/oid_to_symbol file.   But if you just
have a bitmap to start with, then you have to create the symbol first.  I
suggest you start by reading Chapter 8, "Creating and Using Symbols" in the
Programmer's Guide (you should have installed it with the on-line books).
Just type in "dtxext" to bring up the book browser.

I have netview 5.1 on aix.  I would like to add a system object id and
point it
to a certain bitmap.  How do you do this?
