   NV5.1 is on order and I expect that it would take a little while to get it 
up and running. 
Speaking of installing V5.1, does anyone out there have a feel for how long it 
takes to  install V5.1 cleanly?.  Is it worth it to way for V5.1.1, just to 
avoid migration/installation problems?.
Migrating from AIX 4.2.1, NV4.2.1, Ciscoworks V4, apache 1.3 to  AIX 4.3.2, NV 
5.1.x

If you have NetView Version 5.1 you can create an addtrap script using
mib2trap

     Gil,

     I don't think you'll find such a file. Network Node Manager is able to
     read any TRAP-TYPE directly from the MIB file and insert it into
     trapd.conf during MIB load. For NetView you'll have to configure HP
     traps manually

 I am looking for a trap file similar to the one Cisco provides for all of

evices.
I would use the "addtrap" utility to add it to the
/usr/OV/C/conf/trapd.conf.
