Re: Client/Server and Backup manager

Let me turn your question around. Suppose you are telneted into Server A
and it goes down. Would you not expect to have your telnet session end and
have to re-establish a new one with Server B?
I am afraid there is no automatic switching of NetView clients either. If
you think that there should be, then I suggest you detail your requirements
in a note to netview AT tivoli DOT com.

Subject: Client/Server and Backup manager
Hi folk !!!!
A strong question:
I've Netview 5.1 running on Server A, as well as on Server B (formely the
backup).
Server A has one Client C. How can I guarantee Client C keep on working
while Server A goes down
and Server B take the control ? Is there any chance to let the Client C
switch between the 2 Server automaticly (Am I swearing ?????).
Thanks
