White line is the same as reverse-video label on a box: it is highlighed,
as the result of Locate, or Highligh Node on Map, or Locate Route VIA SNMP.
To undo this, View..Highlights...Undo Highlights.

There is a nice picture of this under Help...Legend on the top toolbar.

What does it mean when you have a device that is managed, responding to
pings and demand polls i.e. is Green, but has a light gray/white connection
to its star or bus on the map. Normal connectivity is black.
