Hello,

  Good Question! Here's the answer:
We preserve the original agent address in the SNMP Trap PDU.

SNMP Trap PDU:

  ---------------------------------------------------------------------
  | enterprise | agent | generic | specific | time | variable |
  | ID | addr | trap type | trap type | stamp | bindings . . |
  ---------------------------------------------------------------------

An SNMP Trap PDU gets carried as payload in a UDP PDU.

A management station should look at the agent address in the
SNMP Trap PDU (not the UDP packet header) to determine what
  agent the trap came from.
