To subscribe send a note to listserv AT ucsbvm.ucsb DOT edu which contains only
the line
   subscribe NV-L  <your_first_name>  < your_last_name>
Do this from whatever email system you want your posting to come to.  You
will get a note back asking you to send back a reply with just the word
"OK" to make certain that the listserver has found you.  Once you do that
you are in.  The listserver will send you a note telling you how to
unsubscribe and use other listserver commands, so save it.

Remember, you send requests to listserv AT ucsbvm.ucsb DOT edu.  You send your
updates to the NetView list to NV-L AT ucsbvm.ucsb DOT edu.  The listserver
monitors the list and forwards copies of all postings to all subscribers.
