Douglas Staub,

It is very easy to "correctly" bring down ALL NetView users on a system.
    Run the command
/usr/OV/bin/nv6000_smit KILLEUIS. It will close all NetView sessions.
    After you do the /usr/OV/bin/ovstop,
I highly recommend that you then run "/usr/OV/service/nvstat -cleanup".
This will ensure that there are no
non-parented NetView processes running that ovstop was unable to stop.

If you are running with NetView security on, these commands must be run
from an authorized userid.
