when the server or group is shutdown, the existing savesets being backed up
are aborted, and none of that files are indexed.
so when you look at the saveset in the volume, you will see a status as aborted.
when you restart (not start) the group again, the incomplete savesets will
start from scratch regardless of how much of data was written previously

Subject: [Networker] Save - Crash - Restart
What happens when the savegroups are going on and the server crashes, you
restart the group- does the backup start from beginning or does it start
from the position where it stopped.
Can I stop a savegroup from a command line and then restart it?
Sincerely,
Arun Sondhi
