Re: [Networker] backup logical host/ip client

I do not think it is possible as the whole concept of Legato as other vendor
licensing is based on the individual server being licensed for backup via a
client connection.
Please let me know if I am wrong so I can save some money on next year's
renewal. (Disclaimer: Just Kidding!)

Hello everyone,
Has anybody tried to backup the logical host/ip client and can do Full and
incremental backups?
I have 2 SUN box with the naming convention as: sun (logical host) sun1 and
sun2 are the actual hostnames of these boxes. I have setup sun as a single
client on networker server to backup, but I can only backup in full
eventhough I have chose the schedule once a week for full and the rest as
incremental. Both of the SUN boxes' file system are being shared, so as I
backup sun, I am actually backup sun1 and sun2.
The purpose of this setting is to use 1 less NW Client license. Is this
method possible?
Thanks in advance!!
Billy
