Subject: Speedier mmrecov methods?

I just came back from a disaster recovery test where we were to rebuild our
backup server and several key systems. Using the SSID from my bootstrap
report, I proceeded to run mmrecov once I had my server rebuilt and
Networker reinstalled. This used to be a terribly long process on DLT of 4
hours and now we're on LTO and the process increased to an even worse 6
hours!

There's got to be some better/faster methods of recovering the bootstrap
information. My first inclination now is to save the bootstrap info to a
file device and burn the resulting directory & data off to CD every day.
Another option might be to find a faster tape drive just for the bootstrap
info. I'm open to ideas at this point.

What are other people doing to get around this?
