A couple of years ago our sales person told us for each Hypervisor we need 
"Enterprise Client" licenses.   Our Hypervisors are MS Hyper-V rather than 
VMWare but I'd assume the same was true for VMWare hypervisors.

Symantec sold off Veritas including NetBackup last year and the licensing 
renewal was a bit muddier this last go round vbut someone else here did it so I 
don't have details.   

My recollection is that 2 socket machines were tier 1and more than 2 sockets 
was tier 2.

Quick question (to anyone alive on this list).
Got full NBU environment which is great.

We do VMware backups, which is fine.

We need to add new ESX Hosts and therefore, need to license them.

I am struggling with Veritas to simply get a quote. These hosts are 2 CPU Linux 
based OS machines, which will run a mix on Win/Linux VM Guests.

I thought the name of the license was "Veritas Enterprise Client License" - 
Which you bought to license each ESX Host you have.

Is this correct, or is it known as something else?
