Pat and Michael:

     Thanks for responding.  My problem was I could not get the EMC unit 
to become an ndmp host because I was assuming that the EMC unit was 
using the admin user for ndmp but is using the "ndmp" user.  What a 
stupid mistake.   Thanks again. The problem is resolved.
