When to backup calculation
Find last backup Date of comparable type + Frequency = Due time so in your example below if the backup lasts for an hour then it would be
04/05/2012 04:00 + 1 Day = 05/06/2012 04:00
First available start time = 14/06/2012 19:00 Schedule selected to run
Answer 19:00
Because the earliest open window is 19:00 the same day
Comparable types are CINC compared with CINC FULL compared with FULL
Now suppose you had a backup window of 24 hours and a frequency of 1 day
04/05/2012 04:00 + 1 Day = 05/06/2012 04:00
First available start time = 05/06/2012 04:00 ( as your backup window is now 24 hours)

Hi All,
You would think after 16 years I would know this answer, and I think I do, but I would like other opinions or facts.
Here is the quandary:
Backup window 1900 – 0600, frequency 1 day.
Backup runs at 0300 for various reasons, including manually run.
Question:
Will the next backup run the next day at 1900?, 0300? or not at all.
This is NBU 6.5.6.
If you think you need to know the OS, please explain why?
P.S.
I have read Marianne’s and Joseph’s fine dissertations on Frequency based, but they do not, as far as I can see, address this question only if you have multiple schedules running on the same day, which I do understand.
