I think you may want to make sure your barcode rules are up to date.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] bpsyncinfo sending DB tapes to the scratch pool

Hi, all,

After upgrading to NBU 6.5, bpsyncinfo is behaving differently.

As part of a homegrown vault-like solution, bpsyncinfo is used weekly to
configure tapes to be used for catalog backups. We've done this forever. But
now, the tape that is swapped out of the bpsyncinfo file is going to the
Scratch pool, rather than remaining in the NetBackup pool.

Sound familiar to anyone? I'm searching around, but not finding anything
relevant.

Adding a vmchange statement to move the affected tape back to the NetBackup
pool is easy enough, but I'd rather know about new bpsyncinfo syntax if there
is such a thing.

Thanks much.

Ron
