I would add/clarify that the 'special catalog backup' is covered under the
Hot Catalog backup that you should have configured to run.

I would also recommend setting up excludes for any disk storage you have
attached to your media server, or you're going to back that up as well.

I don't see where you've posted a question on this in the current year.

You backup a media server the same way you do any other client except that
you tell it to use the media server itself as the backup host.   There is
no special data/catalog backup required for a media server like there is
for a master server.  Just do normal backup of the filesystem that has
NetBackup.  (Here we do this as part of our standard OS backup so don't
even make it a separate policy.)
