This question is for anyone doing SAP Online, Offline and REDO Backups.

I want to try to understand why there is a need to keep REDO Log Backups for 2 months.
Is there a recommendation to do this? Is there anyone out there that could tell me what would happen in a DR Scenario, where there is a likely hood of going back 2+ months?

In a DR scenario, I would of thought you would restore an online or offline and if required REDO logs?

If anyone can give me some understanding that would be great. Its just that our tapes are running low, and found the culprit are the REDO logs... they run every 2 hours 7 days a week.
