Just to add to Justin's points, which I agree with, do make sure your
Hardware is well specc-ed up, as I have noticed some slowdown with 2k8
and 7.0.1

Hi,

1. I would upgrade to NBU 7.0 first in 2003.
2. Take a catalog backup.
3. Re-provision host with Windows 2008.
4. Install NetBackup 7.0 on 2008.
5. Perform catalog recovery.
6. Cycle services.
7. Everything should be preserved.

I've done similar things with Linux, RHEL3->RHEL5 and Solaris 8/9 ->
Solaris 10, but I have not done it on Windows.

Justin.
