I have had a fair share. We have had 3 callouts in less than a
year! 2 Robots replaced and a Module not licensed (which the Sun engineer could
not work out).
Never mind......!
Ours has been serviced only by Sun over the years. Every time a
configuration change is made within the library it was done by Sun. I don't know
why but ours has been nothing but a nightmare.

performance has been flawless. No problems with it at all (as opposed to the
Sun StorEdge C4s they replaced). It has the exact same configuration as yours
(1 Base Module, 1 DEM, 3 CEMs) though mine was installed by Sun Microsystems
and not by anyone on my team.
We have an SL500 with full expansion and 6 fiber
drives. We've had more problems with it than I could tell you. In a 2 year
period we had to swap the robot 3 times. At this point nothing but the rack is
original. All the shelves have been replaced as well. I'm looking very forward
to when we replace it. I'll be throwing a party.
