Does anyone have any thoughts on the differences between 6.5.x and 7?

Strikes me that it is just a new version to cover the newer MS apps and stuff.

I think that apart from the demise of NOM it’s little difference in structure and could be just overlayed on any existing 6.5.x install.

Comments please?!
