Jorge
ensure you have a good backup of your C: Drive system "as it is" prior to any
changes.
In case you want to roll back :-)

Argh right. I better use the proper terms :) No, I'm not "migrating".

Yes, this is what I'll do.

This is what I had in mind before realizing this issue about me having the
"Standard" vs the required "Enterprise".

1) Backup Master Server "as is" running 6.5.3 on Win2K3 SP1
2) Upgrade NBU to 7 on current master server (as Win2k3 SP1 is supported for
NBU7)
3) Install Win2008 R2 fresh on a new hardware
4) Install NBU 7 on new machine (same ip, same hostname)
5) export catalog from old server into new server (they're both NBU 7)

In theory this should work. I'd rather upgrade NBU on Win2K3 so I can have
NBU 7 and then perfrom fresh Win2008-R2 installation. I don't like the idea of
upgrading the OS (from Win2003 to Win2008).

I'll then do the upgrade to Enterprise before starting all of this (of course
after backing whole system) just in order to be totally compliant.

If you see a big no-no on my 5 steps please let me know.

Thanks for your advice. I really appreciate it.

Best regards,
Jorge
