Thanks guys

We think we have found the cause, a netapp tape zone in one of our fabrics which had an unattended server in it

I'll second that, convert to decimal 0x1e = 30 and then go here, same codes apply for Netbackup and BackupExec

Could be this

268 0x1e

    269 Hardware A

    270 Critical

271 The tape drive has a hardware fault:\

    272 1. Eject the tape or magazine.\

    273 2. Reset the drive.\

274 3. If the problem persists, call the tape drive supplier help line.

275 The drive has a hardware fault that requires reset to recover.

Got it from here.

Hello

Does somebody know what this tapealert means ?

Have tried both Symantec knowledge base & IBM's website as our drives and robot is IBM without luck

It happened when I did a redirect restore from one Netapp filer to another, there is nothing the logs on either Netapp system

Regards

Michael
