ftp for root user is disabled by default on Solaris.

Look for file called ftpusers under /etc/ftpd. If 'root' appears on the 1st 
line, ftp as root is disabled. Comment out this line.

Test first by doing ftp from master to client. If that works, the push-install 
using ftp method will work.

Try to make sure comment on to allow remote login by root

root@MasterSVR1 # cat /etc/default/login | grep console # CONSOLE=/dev/console
