Hello Mark
Well we backup over 2TB's of Exchange DB's overnight, using a SAN Media SSO and the agent.
I only do full backups, as its the preferred method for recovering a Server, and so much easier.

I configure the System as per the Exchange Team's input and I have gone into great details and documentation on how it is setup, and how they can use it on their box to recover a storage group.

Worth the investment me thinks :-)
Simon

Hi all,

We’re using the Netapp “Snapmanager for Exchange” software to make Exchange backups right now.  We use it to quiesce Exchange in some way and create a Netapp snapshot of the drives.  Those drives are mounted to another NT server and backed up as drive letters.

The upshot of this is that every day we backup the entire 1.4 TB Exchange database.

I’d like to get out of this business.

Can you folks using the NB Exchange Agent let me know the quickie details of how it works (can I do incrementals?) and how it’s working out for you?
