Hi thanks.
I think I found the way around this. I have turned off the
logging now from the GUI, so that should solve it.
I was just unsure if I could simply DELETE the files as
normal, or if a special command needed to be ran.
Did not want to make a sudden change and cause a bigger
problems
Simon,
I believe these are the new unified logs. You can
delete them the same are you would other logs (oldest first.) Are you
perhaps saying that the new upgrade is more verbose? I've got the following
commands in my notes from Symantec Tech support on making the logging more
verbose. Perhaps you can use them to set logging to something less
verbose?
** to increase NDMP logging levels **
\veritas\netbackup\bin\vxlogcfg
-a -p 51216 -o 134 -s DebugLevel=5 -s DiagnosticLevel=5
\veritas\netbackup\bin\vxlogcfg
-a -p 51216 -o 151 -s DebugLevel=5 -s DiagnosticLevel=5
I think the -o switch relates specifically
to NDMP logs. You probably want to runs this with whatever sets all logs
back to 0 debug and diagnostic levels.
Good luck!

Morning Since the upgrade to 6.5.2, I noticed the root volume is
low on space.
Under Veritas\NetBackup\Logs there are
26 log files starting with 51216-111-3326354370-09xxxx-00000000000.log
files
not exactly sure what these are, but
rather than delete I thought I would check first.
Anyone offer any advice?
Thanks
Simon
