auth.conf syntax is :

domain\login <permissions>

For example :

MYDOMAIN\user1 ADMIN=ALL JBP=ALL
MYDOMAIN\user2 ADMIN=AM+BPM+DM JBP=
Be aware that as of 6.5.2 I think it was, the domain has become case sensitive in the login screen. So if you have it capitalized in the auth.conf file, the users need to enter "MYDOMAIN\user1" as their user name.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Java Console Issues

Hey guys

Has anyone been able to get the Java auth.conf file configured to work in an AD environment? I have made several modifications to the file, even going as far as removing all rights to my user but I can still access the Netbackup Java console without issue. I do have Administrator rights on the server but I was under the impression that the auth.conf would be able to bypass these permissions since it is specific to Netbackup? Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.
