Darren,

We had the same issue a couple of weeks ago...
It was caused by an orphaned ndmp process on our filer.
Restarting the ndmp daemon solved the problem.

Stefaan.

Onderwerp: [Veritas-bu] DOWN drives during NDMP backups.

I'm running 6.0 and have had a drive go down two nights in a row. This
is an NDMP backup and I don't have any indication about it in bptm
logs. I see the DOWN message in ltid logs, but I don't see anything
nearby that would suggest why it went down.

bptm suggsets unmounting, but I don't see any problems. Nothing after
this in bptm appears related to this drive.
