(on unix)This command is your friend:
{install_path}/volmgr/bin/vmpool -list_scratch
If there are no configured scratch pools, this command will fix it:
{install_path}/volmgr/bin/vmpool -set_scratch scratch_pool_name
FYI - There is another known issue with windows java console, where configuring
scratch pool essentially unconfigures it. The instructions below will clear
your scratch pool! ( I just tested with 6.5.3.1 and it still sometimes does it.
