Thanks for replies.

Tim-

I've ran the make_scsi_dev and it did populate the /dev/sg directory with 2 robotic control files.

Matt-

scan returns the following:

#./scan
************************************************************
*********************** SDT_TAPE    ************************
*********************** SDT_CHANGER ************************
*********************** SDT_OPTICAL ************************
************************************************************

It appears that the drivers aren't installed correctly as it only returns this and not the info for the library or the drives.
