Re: [Veritas-bu] How to backup to multiple drives

You got multiplexing backwards.
Multiplexing is multiple backups going to a single drive. Your drive
transfer rate means you want a single backup going to multiple drives.
Unfortunately, this isn't possible.
You'll need to break up your backup into multiple images and send it to
multiple drives.
Look at the NEW_STREAM keyword - one policy, multiple images.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] How to backup to multiple drives
I only have one backup job and it could be up to 2 TB in size. My
problem is my tape drives are only capable of backing up to 80mb per sec
and I have to fit my backup in a 6 hour window. So I am curious how the
multiplexing works and how to get both drives running with the single
backup job. I was hoping there was a way to do this without having to
send two backup jobs. I will take a look at this Admin II guide if I can
find it.
