Just set up a normal DSSU with space for 2 weeks worth of
backups. Netbackup won't delete the data from the DSSU (Disk) until it
needs the space to write new backups. So if you have enough space for two
weeks worth of fulls and incrementals then you will always have the most recent
two weeks worth on your disk. We have done something similar here, but we
keep the last 10-11 days worth. The trick is that as your backups grow
they consume more space, shrinking your window of data on
disk.

Hi
We are planning to have 8 fulls, each full runs every week. Last two weeks of
incremental. Full will have 2 months of retention and incremental will have 2
week of retentions. We will be implementing NBU 6.5.3
But planning to have last two full and last one week incremtnal on disk ,
rest to be flushed to tape. I don't know how do i plan this out , i mean how
many policy , schedules etc ... Any idea ?
Thank you
