Randy,

I opened a case on this to verify. I disable it on non-clustered clients but it is required, as you know,  on media servers.

Regards

I know what the PBX service does but when my Exchange admin saw it on his box, he got worried.  The PBX service also seems to be cluster aware and that made him even more nervous.  He’s asking if the service can be removed?

Is there any extra load on the client or any reason the service should be removed from an Exchange server or an Exchange cluster?  These are MS clustered by the way.  And is there any harm in removing the service?

Thanks,
Randy
