[Veritas-bu] doesn't a change to a media server's tape drive require recycling the Master server's Netbackup services ?

If a change is made to a media server, isn't it likely that there will be
problems with the rest of the environment, if the master services Do Not get recycled ?

for example, if someone were to :

- delete all tape drives from an existing media server from EMM db
- run "tpautoconf -a" to configure drives
- verify drives
- stop netbackup services
- start netbackup services

My environment is on 6.5.1 and uses SSO

Master running on Solaris 9
Media servers consist of AIX, Redhat, Windows

using STK 9840C tape drives and VTL tape drives

.... Doon
