People need to stop looking at backups as "backups".

People and management need to view data backup as "data protection" and 
recovery.

If you really think about it....it's reall DATA PROTECTION and the true test of 
your Data Protection process is called "Data Recovery". If you can't recover? 
Then your Data Protection Process is badly broken.
