I happen to have the paper version of this magazine sitting next to my
desk, in the round-toit stack of things to do.
I did read the article, and it should cover what you are looking for
along with a few other nifty things like encrypting writable media (CD's
and DVD's).
It was well written, and it is a bit dated now, but gives scriptable
examples that will help you get started. I believe OpenBSD has an
encrypted filesystem and encrypted swap space option, but the last time
I looked into that feature was a few years ago.
