Hi,
I've noticed that on
occasion, the NBU hot catalog ('NBU-catalog' type policy) backups seem to not
use the tapes in the CatalogBackup volume pool and grabs a tape from the scratch
pool. There are 2 LTO3 tapes in that pool (CatalogBackup) specifically for
catalog backups and I don't think they are full so I'm unsure why it does this
at all, albeit rarely.
Now, the question
is, how can I return these rogue tapes to the scratch pool? If I just move it
back to scratch pool will it be used for normal backups, or do I need to erase
the tape?
Cheers,
