The simple answer is to back up each mount point as a separate directive.

For example, if you mount e:\dir1 and e:\dir2, list each of them in your backup policy.  It's not like those directories are going to change regularly.  We do this on our large clusters with dozens of mount points.  Don't back up e: - that's not what you want.

So your policy directive will be something like:
E:\MountPoint1
E:\MountPoint2
E:\MountPoint3

You will have "cross mount points" enabled but note that each directive does not include multiple mount points.

The mount points are 'nested' so to speak. They don't have their own drive letter assigned and their can be more than 1 MP attached to a drive.

Should I be backing up the server and just getting 'All Local Drives'? I am into this after is was setup and research shows that I am getting exactly 2 times the data and the logs show the root as well as the individual MPs getting backed up.
