Hmm, I have had to do that with jnbSA with 5.1 you were/are able to force 
remove it, but you may have to move the media to type -> "standalone" 
first.. If I recall there is a 2-5minute delay but then it lets you remove 
the old media server/tape drives (at least in Linux).
