Hi
Well there is
little info to go on. Usually 219 is associated with the process BPSCHED that
cannot find, or communicate with the defined storage unit to perform the
backup.
you need to look
at the BPTM logs, enable logging to full to give a clear idea to where the
problem lies?
Is the storage
unit configured correctly for the correct amount of drives? What about
Multiplexing, has this been configured on the Storage Unit? This allows more
jobs to be written to a single tape drive. Could also explain the timing issue
you spoke about.
As its SSO,
ensure all drives are up and responding correctly. (ie: not in a mixed
state).
Finally, look at
the logs. Also the Windows event logs, system or application will give more info
as well (assume its windows as it was not clear in the
email).
HTH sure others
will have alternative suggestions to look for :-)

We have a very large sso
environment that seems to get a large number of 219 errors at certain times of
day (during heavy load on master).
When we check for the available
drives for the media server getting the 219, it has drives with ACS status.
Investigating with Symantec we found issues connecting with the master in the
logs. Backups run fine before and after the rash of 219 errors with no
intervention.
Is it possible that the
SERVER_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 60 (default is 30) in the bp.conf will
help?
Or are we misinterpreting the
directive?
