From the filer console, run sysconfig -t to get a list of all your tape
devices and densities. Match the correct density with the no-rewind device.
You didn’t say so, but I assume the filer is directly connected
to the tape drive(s)… Remember to establish connectivity to the filer by
running /usr/openv/volmgr/bin/set_ndmp_attr.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Path syntax
for adding an NDMP host in 6.5???
Hello all,
Does anyone
know how I should address the “Path” in the Path Information
dialogue box when adding an NDMP tape device in NB 6.5.
My environment is as follows:
Master/Media
server: Win 2k3 Server standard
NAS device:
Network Appliance FAS250
Robot
device: Quantum 1500 w/ HP Ultrium drives
[Master
server is directly attached to the robot via SCSI and reads/writes to the
NetApp via direct GBic network]
Thanks in
advance,
John Keating
