On my setup, 5.1 on 2003 server, out of the several methods mentioned in
the manual, only the registry edit worked. This can be accomplished
quickly and safely by giving the command -
cd <install path>\NetBackup\bin\admincmd
echo KEEP_JOBS_HOURS = <hours> | bpsetconfig
see page 307 Netbackup 5.1 Syatem Administrators Guide Volume 1
