Curtis is right, but there's another bit: from your description it sounds like 
you  are trying to backup a mapped drive letter on the Media server.  That 
won't work well- for one thing you need to be logged in all the time.  Point 
the backup job at the UNC of the CIFS share instead- combined with the 
permissions setting mentioned earlier, you should be all set.
