I can confirm that if the backup ends in a status 1 then the logs will
not be purged. I cannot comment on the brick level backups.

Subject: [Veritas-bu] Exchange 2003 logs during Backups.
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me on this issue. Currently I am
running FULL backups daily on my Exchange servers.
The servers are clustered. I am backing up the Mailbox and Information
store as well as brick-level backups for a number of individual
mailboxes. My understanding is that the logs were to be deleted when the
backup is successful. Two things - if the backup is a "partial success
(1)" should it remove the logs as well? Secondly, the logs are not being
deleted as I thought they should - is it because of the brick-level
backups of the individual mailboxes? Should I set up a separate policy
for that?
Thanks in advance
