I recall Ed telling me off a while ago about this :-)
the DB format is not recognised between the 2 operating systems. I do not
believe it would work.
You could configure your new OS, new NBU and import the tapes perhaps -
depending on how many you have this could take a LONG LONG time !
Maybe you could migrate from your current to new version of OS and
Netbackup. But to merge the 2, I do not believe this will work well.
For the record I have done a merger of 2 Windows DB and even though I got a
telling off, it did work and had no ill effects.
Between OS - not sure I could help :-(
